A Hunger-Artist.

A Hunger-Artist. questions ideas of work and identity, personal freedom and choice. This multi-disciplinary project is conceptually and structurally inspired by ‘Ein Hungerkünstler’, a short story by author and personal injury lawyer, Dr. Franz Kafka (1883 – 1924).  Its elements represent visual interpretations of stages in the protagonist’s life: a professional hunger artist whose strong belief in, and love for, his art - his profession, and the ‘honour code’ governing it, clash with the unwritten rules of corporate society.
